Greetings Dunes Club Families,
As a member, I was honored when leadership invited The Etiquette Company to offer this summer intensive to our children. Practicing social and dining skills in the very spaces where our families gather creates a sense of comfort and joy amongst the children. We are looking forward to creating memories and supporting life long skills with them during our week together!
With gratitude,
Lori Beth Sanborn

Where manners meet confidence
This is not a a 'sit still and memorize rules' kind of class.
This is where children learn how to:
-
Steady their bodies
-
Reset their minds
-
Speak with clarity
-
Navigate peers with confidence
-
Sit at a table with ease
Because manners are not the starting point, self-regulation is.
When children learn to manage themselves, social confidence follows.
What makes this different
At The Etiquette Company, we teach that:
Confidence starts from the inside.
Before a handshake, comes posture.
Before conversation, comes calm.
Before dining skills, comes awareness.
Throughout the week, students will practice:
-
Internal reset strategies
-
Body awareness and tone control
-
Peer conversation and group navigation
-
Dining skills and table confidence
-
Gratitude and social awareness
These are leadership foundations- presented in a way that feels engaging, practical and age-appropriate.

Thoughtfully designed for two age groups
Enrollment is limited to 24 students who will be divided into upper and lower elementary groups based on grade.
Each group receives developmentally appropriate activities while sharing a unified confidence building theme.
On Friday, both groups come together for a guided lunch experience to practice what they've learned in real time.
How Families Can Prepare Their Child
We want every child to feel confident and ready from the moment they walk into our programs. A little family preparation goes a long way!
Before Class:
Please have your child eat a snack prior to arrival. Classes are active and engaging and hunger makes self-regulation very hard for young people.
What to Wear:
Neat, comfortable clothing appropriate for the Dunes Club Setting. Secure shoes are preferred, please leave the heels and flip flops in the beach bag.
We are not formal, but we are intentional. Presentation supports presence.
Dressing up for our Friday luncheon is encouraged.
At Home Support:
Let your child know that we are practicing new things, even if it is different from how things are done at home.
Family life is naturally relaxed, that is healthy and expected. In class, we are practicing skills for more formal environments. It's common for students to say, "That's not how we do it at home". And that's okay.
Learning flexibility is part of social maturity. We are expanding their skill set, not correcting family culture. When parents reinforce this message, children grow faster in confidence and adaptability.
