The Etiquette Company Cotillion

There’s a moment many parents recognize.

Your child knows what to say, but hesitates.

They want to make a good impression, but aren’t quite sure how.

They’re growing—socially, emotionally, independently—and that in-between stage can feel awkward.

Cotillion exists for that moment.

The Etiquette Company Cotillion is a modern, confidence-forward social experience designed to help fifth through tenth grade students develop poise, presence, and ease in social settings.

Through guided instruction and practice, students learn confident introductions, engaging conversation, dining etiquette, and respectful interaction—along with the foundational elements of social dance. Dance is approached as a tool for confidence, not performance. Students learn basic partner movement, spatial awareness, posture, and courtesy—how to ask, accept, and move with confidence and respect. These moments help students become comfortable with proximity, eye contact, and shared space, all while reinforcing poise and self-assurance.

Offered in a small, intentional group, the program blends conversation skills, social awareness, dining etiquette, and movement to help students feel comfortable standing, sitting, speaking, and engaging with others. The experience culminates in a formal capstone dinner, where students practice dining, conversation, and social dancing in a supportive, celebratory setting. Parents will be invited to participate in the capstone celebration.

Inspired by traditional cotillion and thoughtfully updated for today’s students, this program focuses on what matters most: confidence, kindness, and the ability to show up well in the world.

Participation is offered by invitation to ensure a balanced, age appropriate and meaningful experience for every student.
