Our Vision

We believe confidence is not something children are born with. It is something they build.

  • Our vision is to help children develop the social skills that allow them to show up with ease, speak with confidence, and trust that they belong.

  • Through kindness, respect, and real-world practice, we prepare students to navigate social spaces thoughtfully and with ease.

  • Because when children feel capable and worthy, they are willing to step forward, and that can change everything.

On a personal note...

For more than 30 years, The Etiquette Company has served families in our community with care, intention, and heart. I am deeply grateful to the founders who began this work and consistently reinforced in our community that confidence, kindness, and respect matter. It is an honor to carry their legacy forward.

Watching my eldest daughter step into leadership in college has been a powerful reminder of why this work is so important. The confidence she has today, to tell her story, network with adults, and carry herself with authority, didn’t come naturally and it didn’t happen overnight. It was built slowly, through learned skills and steady encouragement.

As a child, social situations were hard. She wouldn’t look an adult in the eye until she was ten. Birthday parties felt overwhelming. Peer friendships were difficult, and social anxiety took hold in late middle school. In many ways, it has never fully released its grasp.

Over time, she decided that fear wasn't going to control her future. She pushed herself to show up and challenge herself, everyday. Last year, she rushed a sorority at the College of Charleston as a way to challenge her fear of peer rejection. This year, she was invited by her peers to serve as President of the Panhellenic Council.

Poise. Charm. Authenticity. Grit.

None of these were innate.

They were learned, practiced, and cultivated year after year.

This is my why. Developing social skills and manners gives children the confidence to try, the resilience to persevere, and the courage to lead with kindness. When children feel capable and worthy, they step forward, even when they’re afraid, and that can change everything.

I am especially grateful for the instructors who bring this work to life each day. Their patience, empathy, and belief in every child are what make The Etiquette Company a place where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. I am grateful to work alongside them.

With appreciation,
